Since this dresser had already been painted once before, I decided to go with chalk paint, as it provides excellent adhesion. I chose Annie Sloan, "Pure White", which I use constantly. I sanded and lightly distressed the edges and added a protective coat of soft wax.
After digging through my collection of antique and vintage hardware, I found the perfect finishing touches...two glass knobs and eight matching, brass pail pulls. I brushed the bail pulls with some white paint, measured and drilled the proper holes and installed the hardware.
She's a beauty.
